Enjoy exploring and learning new things with your furry friend by your side. Petland invests not only in the well-being of our animals but also in the education of our pet owners. To better equip you for your travels, we put together a few things to consider before taking your pets across the country, [especially in an RV](https://www.petlandkennesaw.com/4-must-dos-while-traveling-in-an-rv-with-your-pet/) . Need a road-tripping buddy? Look no further than our [available puppies page](https://www.petlandkennesaw.com/puppies-for-sale/) so you can pick the travel buddy of your dreams! ### 1. Bring familiar items.![cute puppy dogs](https://petlandkennesaw.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/cute-puppy-dogs-1-300x200.jpg) Traveling with a pet can be stressful if you’re not prepared. Making sure you have what you need is essential to eliminating stress for you and your pet. Sometimes change can increase your pet’s stress and cause them to have a slight change in their behavior. Bringing familiar items on the trip can decrease their anxiety and keep your cute puppy dogs happy! ### 2. Be consistent as much as possible. Keeping a familiar routine can also keep your furry friend at ease. Since everything will be different while you’re on vacation, make every effort to be consistent as possible in other areas. For example, keep their feeding times and walking times the same. If you are traveling to a different time zone, evaluate how much of a difference it is from home and make an adjustment if necessary. Does the hotel and other places welcome cute puppy dogs? Consider the space you will be staying while traveling out of the country. Some places aren’t pet-friendly. Do your research to make sure the places you want to visit welcomes pets. Some places do offer to babysit dogs while on vacation, but of course, use your best judgment before handing your pet off to a stranger. ### 4. Did you check with your veterinarian? Does your pet need more immunizations before traveling? Check with your veterinarian to make sure your pet is up-to-date with immunizations needed to travel to another country. Some extra immunizations may be necessary to keep your pet healthy. **Petland wants to see your cute puppy dogs happy on vacation.
