- The Bichon Frise is a descendant from the Barbet, an old breed of Water Spaniel, from the Mediterranean region of Europe. They are said to be related to the Poodle.

- They are easy to train when it comes to tricks and commands. You’ll find that they love to please and respond well to positive reinforcement and treats. However, they need patience and consistency with training.
- They are really intelligent and sociable. They don’t like being alone for long periods of time otherwise they will suffer from separation anxiety.
- While they make excellent apartment dogs, they do require regular daily exercise and would appreciate some outdoor playtime.
