Petland Kennesaw, Georgia
January 1, 1970
To all of the sheeple writing negative reviews because the news and social media told you what to think…. I pitty your small, fragile, brainwashed minds. When I was a child, my mother was a licensed akc registered breeder. We bred dachshunds. I have personally stayed up for days straight caring for puppies under direct veterinary instruction and guess what? Not every puppy made it. That’s just nature. Just like there are stillborn babies in some of the most advanced nations in the world. Babies who are born and pass shortly after birth. This too happens to puppies. Sometimes, there is nothing that can be done for it. If the picture of the puppy in the freezer is actually from petland, Let me ask you this. If a puppy passed unexpectedly in the middle of the business day, would you have preferred they walked it out to the dumpster to have disposed of it improperly, had it out there stinking, and risked a child seeing that? It’s very sad that the animal passed. But putting it on ice until the end of the business day to dispose of the remains properly outside the eyes of children was the responsible thing to have done. If the pictures of the puppy with nasal discharge did come from petland… guess what, puppies like babies, get sick! Omg! What a concept! Petland also intakes rescue and shelter animals in some situations who will need to be treated and cleared before they can be put up for sale! So imagine that, the puppy was responsibly quarantined while the illness was treated! And I’m all about adopt don’t shop. I looked at every county that had an animal shelter in ga and the bordering counties in all of the surrounding states and could not find what I was looking for. I contacted the two main rescues for that breed in ga and all they had were either mixed breeds Or they were older and I cannot allow my son to get attached to a nine year old plus dog for it to leave us too soon next year. So in cases such as this where we’ve exhausted all resources, I don’t believe we should have our rights stripped away for what our family has had my whole life because we had to seek out other means and shop so to speak. I’m not a payed off idiot that would do something as stupid as accept money for a lying review. I have never in my life been affiliated with Petland or worked there. Myself and my son went in on the 15th at our scheduled time. The staff was incredibly welcoming and courteous. We were greeted and taken back to our bonding area where they told us they actually had two puppies meeting our description and that they would bring back the exact one we scheduled to see first. They had us sanitize our hands, and then they brought the male golden in. They were very helpful and on the spot fulfilling all of our requests for toys and cleaning up the messes the little guy accidentally made. They let us know they were there for questions and were watching to ensure the animals safety but did not hover. One of the ladies came and covered any and all information you could ever want about that dog. The manager came and went over financing options when I requested. It took about 15 mins and little paper work and she came back with several options. She processed that through and it was done within a few minutes. They put our golden retriever max in a buggy and an employee walked us through the entire store giving us info and explaining the items that were coming with him, probably $1000 worth of stuff, xl crate included. Checked out my extras i bought. Spent probably 30+ mins going over all of the paperwork and all the guarantees and perks that comes with one of their pets. Setting up our free vet visit etc. After realizing they forgot to give me the $100 off for scheduling an apt. The manager allowed me to just go pick out whatever I wanted up to that value. They loaded the truck for us and Max even got pics with the Grinch! Follow up has been above and beyond fantastic. We’re incredibly happy with our experience and our HEALTHY fur baby, Max. And would highly recommend Petland of Kennesaw!
